There is also the actuator itselft that has a thimble screw around the push rod. (I havnt touched this one)10 The Main Problems of 2.0 TDCi Engine. 1. Extraneous sounds when the engine is stopped. The vacuum system of the power unit provides for the presence of three solenoid valves responsible for controlling the throttle, driving the turbine geometry and bypassing the intercooler.Ford Focus and Mondeo 1.8 2.0 TDCi 2000 - 2003Problem: Engine hard to start, lack of power, rough idling etc. Solution: A common problem has been identified with the above models and an insufficient signal from the camshaft postion sensor (CPS). The fault code P0340 may have been triggered which relates to the CPS.
The sensor is located in the head between the 2nd and 3rd sparkplug. If you need to replace the sensor you may find that the new sensor doesn't look like the old one. The brass section on the factory installed sensor is about 1.5" long and the new one is half that length. Ford updated the design at some point.Please check the Part number and OEM number on turbocharger to make sure it is the right one for your engine. If you are not sure about this information , please feel free to contact us 07919151752 i was advised that i could leave the turbo as it would last another few thousand miles, but if yours turns out to be the same problem, id advise you to change it straight away. after about 200 miles the turbo blow in spectacular fashion, it dumps the entire contents of the old straight into the engine via the intercooler. so the engine runs on
