check the mouse trackpad cable and the cable going into the logic board. in my experience, the trackpad cable needs to be installed exactly, we used to raise the MacBook up and slide the cable end into the trackpad upside down. there were many times we had to unscrew everything just to reinsert that cable. good luck and use fixit for everything as well I always refer to that just to refresh
Ifixit sent me a replacement no questions asked. The second battery was easy to install as the first Ifixit battery never really stuck to the case. For the Air I just bought a highly rated battery on Amazon for less than half price of the Ifixit battery. I installed it in about fifteen minutes. It's been in for about 6 months and is at 100.7%.
