The most common reasons a car radio may turn on or off by itself are a faulty ignition switch, the radio getting old, faulty wiring, incorrect radio installation, a blown fuse, loose wire connections, loose faceplate, or a faulty battery. To fix this issue, you need to begin by determining the exact root cause of the issue and address that.
Hi, My car is a 57 plate Ford Mondeo Mk 4 2.0 TDCI Zetec Estate. I noticed the air con was not working/not very good so assumed it needed a re-gas. I purchased a re-gas kit and followed the instructio … read more
The issue is the cruise control is not powering on, the switch to the left hand side of the steering wheel that puts the cruise control into standby, the switches on the right hand side that actually set the cruise control to your current speed and allow you to adjust the speed are working fine. The bottom switch of the three on the left hand
Obviously this may not work if the display is dead but, with ignition on or engine running, try the heater A/C panel reset and self test mode. Press 'off' and 'footwell' together for 2 seconds, release then immediately press 'auto' or 'on' (if you don't have auto). The test takes up to 30 seconds then displays any fault codes in sequence.
Firstly from water leaking down from above, often a windscreen or a blocked water gully in the engine compartment. Secondly and more serious is water ingress caused by a faulty screen wash pump. Well obviously working on the idea you do have a heated screen. As I say, if Ford have used the convention that the ON LED is illuminated when the relay has pulled in, then its obviously not the relay (this needs confirming on a circuit/wiring diagram). In the unlikely event of both halves of the screen failing together, what is common.
I've got a 2013 mondeo estate business edition and this morning when I came to unlock it, I found the remote key fob didnt work. I tried the spare and that was dead too. Had to manually unlock the doors which is a pain in the backside but everything else seems ok. Thought maybe the battery was dead, but strange if it went in the spare at
