bogeyorpar Discussion starter. 5 posts · Joined 2012. #1 · Jun 5, 2012. My car is a BMW 2006 330i 4 door sedan. A few days ago, suddenly the audio system stopped working. I can still turn on radio, CD, Satellite, Aux, and the screen works (shows channel or CD track#), but no sound comes out of it. It seems like something muted it.This experience has happened 3-4 times so far: I'm navigating through the I-Drive menus when suddenly the I-Drive knob starts freaking out. I pull my hands away from the knob and it keeps spinning out of control. It actually sounds like it's speeding up, then slowing down, then speeding up, meanwhile it makes loud revving sounds.I cannot reset the system in my idrive. In the place where FTM should be located, my menu shows TPM instead. I understand, and have verified that I do not have the TPMS system, but rather the older FTM system. However, my idrive shows TPM which is greyed out, and will not let me select any reset options. I have a 2004 530i which I have recently purchased and the radio cuts in and out by itself. I can be driving along and it stops for say 5 seconds and then starts again. It also happens to my bluetooth paired phone - I can be talking for 20 seconds and then it loses its pairing, but then will reconnect. It happens when the car is moving or

Under “Software Version,” select “Software Update.”. 3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update. 4.I ran my errand, and restarted the car. When I restarted the car, the screen came up with the "BMW" start up, it hung there for at least 30 seconds, during which time I could hear the DVD and CD slots being activated. After this it started working correctly except that is was a little sluggish for a couple of minutes. Now it works fine. Make sure Bluetooth is activated on your mobile device. On left side of your iDrive 7 screen, press COM > Mobile Devices > New Device. Choose from the options how you would like to use your device. The system is now discoverable from your mobile device, and may display nearby devices. On your mobile device, select your BMW from the Bluetooth menu.
