the /supplyinfo is radius wise like 150 to 100. so yes, its close proximity. most commander like me also use this to determin the materials in a bigger zerg. you can also get a feeling for your own if you try to guess there mats befor you /sub and then you get an answere. i do this regulary to count my status of supply so i dont need to stack for /supplyinfo.
