If you leave the boat in chapter 13 like I did to go resupply, you will notice that "The Boat" will dissapear from your map and you can no longer quick travel there. In fact I couldn't find any way to get there at all but there is a way. Make your way back to the lab by the boat until you are standing by the fenced window looking directly at the bak of the boat. Then all you do is quit andRiptide is just a continuation on the story told in Dead Island, with new features (weapons, skills, a new vehicle, a new character). If you get Riptide without having played Dead Island, a lot of what happened is explained to you. However, the overall story is not "all that". But, don't get me wrong, I think Riptide is alright.
